The current prototype shows where we are today. We use it to assess proportions, legibility and wearability before finalising the first edition.
A design on a screen cannot tell you how a watch really wears. Its proportions, legibility and cohesion only become clear in a physical prototype. That is why we are showing the first Wizer while it is still in development.
The separate dial was one of the first tangible steps. It then became possible to assess the design as a complete watch. The case, steel bracelet, hands and dial all influence one another. A small adjustment can noticeably change the whole.
The retail price of Wizer 01 is €499. The watch will use a mechanical automatic movement with 24 jewels. The rotor winds the movement as it is worn; synthetic jewel bearings reduce friction at important pivot points.
The dark dial, light hour markers and distinctive minute track will also remain central to the design. We will disclose other final specifications and the production quantity once development is complete.
